When I play an RPG, everything is designed to immerse me in the world and mechanics. And when you’re immersed, you literally can’t get your ‘head above water’. It’s murky down there. You can’t see properly. You’re at the whim of the sea you’re swimming in. Reading LitRPG is like enjoying a cruise in a submarine. You can appreciate the underwater beauty without any risk of being eaten by a shark.
